Shinnyo Lantern Floating Hawaiʻi – Many Rivers, One Ocean is a ceremony conducted with the heart of offering gratitude to all spirits, of all forms of life, that have supported our existence since the beginning of time.
Participants may gather in person at Ala Moana Beach in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, or take part virtually via live telecast or internet broadcast from anywhere in the world. Everyone, regardless of belief, is welcome to take part in this physical expression of love and remembrance for those we miss.
In this shared moment of gratitude, the barriers that divide us melt away, and what might have begun as a personal moment of reflection often becomes a greater collective experience of harmony and empathy. As we share our feelings of loss and grief, we also experience hope, courage, and compassion, kindling a desire for connection and healing not just for ourselves, but also for those around us.
