The hands and hearts of hundreds of volunteers make it possible for hundreds of thousands to remember their loved ones at the Lantern Floating Hawaii ceremony.
Volunteers prepare, light, collect and clean each lantern. Lantern preparation begins in March and lantern cleanup concludes in July. If you are interested in becoming part of our volunteer ʻohana, and are in the 9th grade or older, please submit and inquiry by filling out this form. If you volunteered with Lantern Floating Hawaii in 2017, you will automatically be sent a 2018 schedule when it becomes available.
